Strange Tenants: The band that’s still Ska'd for life featuring Furious Turtles, Baggy Trousers and Fiesta Fiasco.
Formed in 1981, Australian Ska legends The Strange Tenants are rightly proclaimed as the Godfathers of the Ska movement in Australia. Taking their cues from English bands such as the Specials, Madness, Bad Manners and the Beat, fusing Jamaican rhythms with punk energy and their own Militant Style, The Strange Tenants are coming to Brisbane in September to play one more time for their Queensland fans.
This is going to be an amazing show. Opened by Fiesta Fiasco and their wonderful mix of ska/soul sounds with Baggy Trousers bringing the Nutty Sound of Madness. Brisbane Ska icons the Furious Turtles join us to play their greatest hits and the evening finishes in a crescendo of Australian Ska sound from the legendary Strange Tenants. You will not want to miss this show. It’s going to be massive and fans will be travelling from far and wide to be here with all the SE QLD crew for the show.
